The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has issued an alert that they are receiving notifications of phishing scam emails from “sales@icann.org.” This email address has never been used by ICANN.
It is always recommended to follow best practices when opening or responding to email. Never open suspicious or unexpected attachments and never respond to unusual senders with personal or confidential information.
